The extractor is from Elica, the catalogue is free to members on the articad site.  In the extractors materials there will be one for the lens, this is the light. Make it lit appearance. If it's a pendant light your after sketchup warehouse has some good ones.

Hi Joe

Quick question - In the comments you wrote (Little kitchen with Neff appliances and Silestone worktop. Did the oven's myself with Daz providing the coffee machine and Silestone settings! Each render took about an hour and a half @ 2560 x 1650 render to file in articad. Some photoshop tweaks also)

How do you render at 2560 x 1650??? I just set mine to HD highest x 8

Thanks

if you use the render to file option then you can set the output resolution.

found under File > Render to File.

James i used to use this method as i had a crap laptop with low resolution screen. Find i get crisper renders using it. Also use photoshop to tweak renders as the controls in articad are a tad limited.

Yes, most of the time but still use it for 2560 x 1440 renders.

I have just done this....impressive!

One other thing I am really stuggling with is that when you point the camera at windows the renders look fantastic, when you have the windows behind you looking into the room the render becomes grainy. Any tips to over come this??

Hi James
Just look via my phone so cannot see all the details but if you have used the highest preset then even this is not always enough to clean up the noise. Often i go onto the hidden settings to increase sampling.
Overbright point lights and lit appearance lighting with to much contrast in the texture can also lead to extra noise.
